Hi! I’m Shaun: Church Production Director, Technical Manager, Author, and Pastor: specializing in AVL (Audio, Video, and Lighting) use in event, concert, and ministry venues across the country. For years I have wanted to share my experiences and insights in a blog environment, and I am thrilled to finally be here with you!
Throughout my 20+ year career, I have had the privilege of working with numerous musicians and bands, hosting thousands of fans per event. Some of the notable artists I’ve collaborated with include Grammy Nominee and Dove Award-winning artist Wayne Watson, Rush of Fools, Sonic Flood, The Newsboys, Phil Keaggy, Carrie Underwood, and Shay Mooney. These experiences have allowed me to refine my skills and gain valuable insights into the world of live production – not just in the church, but also for events and streaming.
In addition to my work in the entertainment industry, I currently serve as the Central Campus Technical Director and pastoral team member at Rolling Hills Community Church in Franklin, Tennessee. In this role, I oversee the production and IT needs at all six RHCC Campuses. With a team of 50+ staff and volunteers, I manage various disciplines including keeping up with infrastructure standards, budgeting, and overseeing tech needs for ongoing building projects. We all know that in production leadership, there’s a little bit of everything on our plates!
I’d love to hear what your primary role is – either in the church or other technical industries. Introduce yourself in the comments!
Outside of my professional endeavors as a church production director, I am honored to be an ongoing Advisory Council Member for the WFX Conference and have been nominated for the prestigious Solomon Award. I am also proud to hold CTS Certification and have had the privilege of serving as a FILO Conference Moderator for the past two years.
There is so much more in my 30+ year history with technology that I don’t have time to share here. But, through this blog I aim to bestow some of my knowledge, experiences, and insights with you. Whether you’re interested in technical production, event management, or the intersection of tech and ministry, I hope you find valuable content that inspires and informs.
Please know that you can always reach out with questions, or your own insights. I welcome comments and conversations. Thanks for joining me on this journey!
